New floors go in easier on a clean slab. We pull the old floor room by room, carry everything out — tack strip and pad included — and leave it swept. If the slab needs grinding or leveling after, that's your installer's call.

Carpet removal
Carpet, pad and tack strip — any room, any floor of the house. Rolled up, carried out, gone.
Tile floor removal
Ceramic, porcelain and stone tile get broken up, bagged and carried out. Old 9-inch tiles and the black glue under them can contain asbestos — get those tested before we start.
Wood, laminate & vinyl removal
Glue-down or floating — hardwood, engineered, laminate, vinyl plank and sheet vinyl get pulled, stacked and hauled.

Do you remove the glue or thinset?
We take up the flooring itself and sweep. Grinding glue or thinset off the slab is usually your installer's job — tell us what you need and we'll be straight about what we can do.
Do I need to move the furniture?
Not if it's going too — we'll haul it with the floor. If it's staying, tell us when you book and we'll plan around it.
What about asbestos or lead paint?
We don't test for or remove asbestos or lead. In older homes, things like popcorn ceilings, old floor tile and its glue, and old drywall mud should be tested first. If your home was built before 1978, tell us when you book and we'll confirm whether we can take the job.
How much does demolition cost?
